Mrs. Eva Killings, everyone’s favorite Suwannee Room employee, has been awarded Aramark’s Ring of Stars award.

“That means that you are one of our exceptional front line employees and managers from around the world who deserve special recognition,” wrote Eric J. Foss, the President and CEO of Aramark, in a letter to Mrs. Killings.

Only 200 of 270,000 employees have been awarded the Ring of Stars, which was given to Mrs. Killings based on her dedication to “enriching and nourishing lives.”

From October 19 to 22, Mrs. Killings and her daughter, Yovanda, will be on an all-expense-paid trip to Phoenix for a celebration of the award.

“I’m very excited,” Mrs. Killings said. “I never dreamed of being recognized, but I’m very happy and I just thank God that I was thought of and blessed to be going.”

The award comes at the perfect time for Mrs. Killings, who lost her mother recently. After these recent months of grieving, the celebration will be a welcome vacation.

“I need this trip very much so. I’ve been through a lot this year. I put my mother away seven months ago, so this is a very great time to get away from Tallahassee,” Mrs. Killings says.
